Some people think they can’t afford to lose weight because gym memberships can be expensive and even though purchasing a home gym could money in the long run, home gym equipment can be pretty expensive.e

However, it does not always have to cost an arm and a leg to lose weight.. and I’m going to prove it, by sharing with you one of my favorite ways to burn fat and it costs about 10$.

So what is this great fat loss exercise that is so cheap?….

Jump Rope!

I know it sounds simple, but jumping rope is one of the greatest forms of cardio and in my opinion jumping rope is one of the best ways to achieve fat loss.

Unlike most forms of cardio, jumping rope almost immediately increases your heart rate. Jump rope is definitely a high intensity form of cardio and a great way to burn more calories than your average cardio session.

The problem with jumping rope isn’t that it doesn’t work, jumping rope definitely works.. but most people give up on jumping rope after their first time. While its true that the first time you jump rope you’re going to look like a fool, the more you practice, the better you’ll get. I remember the first week I started jumping rope I could not do more than 15 rotations without tripping up on the rope.. So I made a plan.

First week -Twice a week

• Goal is to get 100 rotations and at least once do 25 rotations in a row without tripping

Second week -Twice a week

• Goal is to get 200 Rotations and at least once do 30 or more rotations in a row without tripping

Third week -Three times a week

• Goal is to get 250 rotations and at least once do 50 or more rotations in a row without tripping

As you can see every week I would make a harder goal and every time I went outside to do my jump roping.

I would definitely recommend including jump rope to your current cardio plan and see if you achieve better fat loss progress as apposed to your regular cardio sessions. I myself did notice great results when it came to fat loss, but jumping rope can be rough on your feet and shins. So don’t over do it.
